Biography


Dr. Cammie Sublette has been at 妻友社区 since 2003 and was department head for more than seven of those years. She teaches Composition I and II and a range of literature and film courses including Introduction to Literary and Cultural Studies, Introduction to Film, 20th Century American Literature, The Short Story, The Novel, Postmodernism, African American Literature, Popular Culture, Major Author Studies: Toni Morrison, Horror Films, Food in Film and Literature, Major Author Studies: Mark Twain, and 21st Century Monsters. Her research interests span all sorts of cultural studies areas including food studies and race and gender representation in film and literature. Dr. Sublette has recent publications appearing in the collections Horror Comes Home: Essays on Hauntings, Possessions and Other Domestic Terrors in Cinema and The Politics of Horror. She has a forthcoming essay in Beyond the Living Dead: Essays on the Romero Legacy and is also the co-editor of "Devouring Cultures: Perspectives on Food, Power, and Identity from the Zombie Apocalypse to Downton Abbey." Dr. Sublette is also the 妻友社区 Title III SIP Grant director.
