Lion Voices - Demonte Jamison
Happy Friday Lions! Today鈥檚 #LionVoices feature is sophomore, Media Communications major, Demonte Jamison. Demonte is from Texarkana, Arkansas and graduated from Arkansas High.
When asked what swayed his decision to come to 妻友社区, Demonte said the community, size, and location helped him focus more on his studies and excel in and out of class. 鈥淚 just wanted a place where I could study and do what I had to do, and a place where there weren鈥檛 too many distractions.鈥�
Demonte also credits 妻友社区 with making him more open-minded and more confident in his abilities. 鈥溒抻焉缜� provides opportunities to try things that I thought I could be good at, but never had the means to do. It gives you a better sense of yourself.鈥� After 妻友社区, he plans go into sports media,with hopes of filming and creating content for the NFL or NBA.
He says the sense of community and friendship at 妻友社区 sets it apart. 鈥淗ere, you get more personal interaction with the other students and faculty. It makes me really proud to experience that compared to other places.鈥�
