妻友社区's Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree provides an affordable, shortened path to graduation for students who want to become RNs.

Our Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing, sometimes called an associate degree in nursing (ADN), is your gateway to a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse (RN). Unlike other associate degree nursing programs, ours has been developed in partnership with healthcare providers. It delivers a focused degree plan that takes just two years (four semesters) to complete. We also have a dedicated LPN-ADN pathway for those with an active, unencumbered LPN license.

What does a Registered Nurse do?

As a Registered Nurse (RN), your career options are as diverse as your passion for helping others. From providing direct patient care to influencing healthcare policies, the role of the RN is dynamic and impactful. The opportunities are also plentiful and include flexible schedules, per diem shifts, shift differentials, and more.

An AAS degree in Nursing is also a pathway toward earning your BSN or advanced nursing degree.

Related Pathway

LPN to ADN
Students who have an active, unencumbered LPN license to practice in Arkansas, and who meet 妻友社区 admission and School of Nursing requirements are eligible to enroll through the LPN to ADN pathway in order to earn their AAS in Nursing. 


Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission into the program, students must, in accordance with the , complete a criminal background check and meet the following criteria.

  • University Admission Requirements
  • Academic Performance
    • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 for all college work (including transfer work and excluding developmental courses) and be in good academic standing.
    • You may not have more than two (2) attempts on math or science classes.
  • ATI TEAS Exam
  • LPN-ADN Track
    • Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) must provide proof of an active, unencumbered LPN license to practice in Arkansas to be eligible for the LPN-ADN track.
