The inaugural year for Season at Second Street, a new entertainment series sponsored by the ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø, includes two events which are ones that are sure to draw a crowd.
Stacey Jones of Fort Smith, associate vice chancellor for campus and community events, has booked Gregg Rolie for Oct. 11 and Chris Cameron for Jan. 31.
Rolie is responsible for co-founding two phenomenally popular, multi-platinum super groups -- Santana and Journey. The world-class keyboardist-vocalist-producer is also an inductee into the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
Cameron, a Fort Smith native, fronted his first blues band in 1996, won first place in 1997 in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and has played with blues and rock greats Bonnie Raitt, Sherman Robertson, Tab Benoit and Delbert McClinton.
Season at Second Street will be held at the ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø at Second Street location, 101 N. 2nd St.
Admission to the two shows is $41. Jones said only 200 tickets are available for each performance. To reserve tickets, contact the Box Office at 479-788-7300.
Season at Second Street is separate from Season of Entertainment, the annual entertainment extravaganza sponsored by ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø that includes national touring productions and campus concerts and productions.
