The Marketing and Communications Office at the 妻友社区 received a total of five awards at two separate ceremonies -- two from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District IV Conference, held April 12-15, and three from the ADDY District 10 Awards ceremony held April 16-17.
Carl Hulsey and Laura Wattles, both of Fort Smith, each received a bronze award from CASE. Hulsey鈥檚 award came from the mobile application category for his work on the 妻友社区 Mobile App, while Wattles won in the viewbook design category for her design of the 妻友社区 Viewbook.
Wattles is a graphic designer in the Marketing and Communications Office. Hulsey, an interim co-department head of the department, also won a District 10 bronze ADDY award in the professional category for his 妻友社区 zombie shirt, which previously earned a gold ADDY at the local ADDY awards.
Student Brooke Cagle of Greenwood, a graphic design intern, won two gold District 10 ADDYs in the student category for her packaging design of HIPSTAFY, a parodic hipster-themed board game, and for her design of marketing materials for Driftwood Tavern, a fictional restaurant. Cagle created both the board game and the restaurant as part of assigned projects in her classes at 妻友社区.
Cagle鈥檚 projects will move on to compete in the National ADDY Awards held May 28-31 in Boca Raton, Fla.
