A renowned female troupe performing comedic music will travel to Fort Smith for a 7:30 p.m. March 3 concert as part of the University of Arkansas 鈥 Fort Smith鈥檚 Season at The Blue Lion.

 

Four Bitchin鈥 Babes will perform at The Blue Lion at 妻友社区 Downtown, located at 101 N. 2nd Street. Tickets are $25.

 

The group, formed in 1990 by Christine Lavin, has traveled throughout the United States and released nine albums, most recently 鈥淢id Life Vices鈥 Guilt Free Musical Revue鈥 released in 2012.

 

Four Bitchin鈥 Babes has received acclaim for their comedic numbers ranging from sexual topics to the humors of everyday life. The Chicago Tribute said the group鈥檚 songs ranged 鈥渇rom sentimental to lusty, spiritual to hysterical鈥 and said, 鈥淐ontemporary folk has never sounded so good.鈥

 

Stacey Jones, associate vice chancellor for campus and community events, said the show will 鈥渂e a great evening of fun at The Blue Lion.鈥

 

鈥淭his is a group of very, very talented ladies, and they鈥檒l be a lot of fun to watch,鈥 Jones said. 鈥淭he show will be sophisticated wit accompanied by catchy music.鈥

 

The concert is part of the university鈥檚 Season at The Blue Lion, a lineup of musical performances held at the university鈥檚 downtown venue featuring local and nationally-recognized musicians.
