An acoustic ensemble of award-winning musicians will perform a concert of various musical styles at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 as part of the University of Arkansas 鈥 Fort Smith鈥檚 Season at the Blue Lion.
鈥淭odd Mosby New Horizons Ensemble鈥 will play at The Blue Lion at 妻友社区 Downtown, located at 101 N. 2nd Street. Tickets are $25.
Led by celebrated guitarist Todd Mosby, the ensemble boasts members who have earned Grammy Award nominations, Player of the Year Honors, and acclaim from publications such as Publisher鈥檚 Weekly and Amazon. Members include Jeff Haynes on percussion, Michael Manring on bass, Premik Tubbs on woodwinds, Lola Toben on lead vocals and Bryan Toben on vocals and guitar.
The group will perform a mix of American jazz, folk, new age and pop, with classics by James Taylor, Neil Young and Joni Mitchell.
Mosby will also host a master class for local musicians at 2 p.m. that same day. The master class is free and open to the public, but those who wish to attend the show must purchase a ticket. Master class attendees will receive a $5 discount on tickets.
The show is part of the university鈥檚 Season at The Blue Lion, a lineup of musical performances held at the university鈥檚 downtown venue featuring local and nationally-recognized musicians.
