Move In FAQs

How many people can I bring to help me move in?

We ask that you bring only the number you need to help you move in to your new room. Volunteers will be available through Numa鈥檚 Move-In Crew to assist you with unloading and carrying your personal belongings to your campus home.

Will there be anyone available to help me with move-in?

A limited number of volunteers will be available at the Lion鈥檚 Den and Sebastian Commons to help you unload your vehicle and carry your belongings to your room. Additionally, both facilities will have carts for check-out to assist with large loads.

Where do I pick up my keys?

If you live in the Lion鈥檚 Den, you will check in at the Lion鈥檚 Den South Building after parking in Lot K at the corner of Kinkead Avenue and Waldron Road. You will need your photo ID to check-in.

If you live in Sebastian Commons, you will check in at the Housing Office located at 801 N. 49th St. after parking in Lot D. You will need your photo ID to check-in.

Where do I get my parking permit?

Temporary Move-In Day permits will be provided to you upon check-in. This temporary permit will allow you to unload near your facility. You can or through your My.妻友社区 account.

Lion鈥檚 Den residents will be issued a green permit. Sebastian Commons residents will be given an orange permit. Covered parking permits are available for Sebastian Commons residents on a first-come, first-served base.

Will the Lion鈥檚 Den Dining Hall be open on Move-In Day?

The Lion鈥檚 Den Dining Hall will begin regular fall hours on Sunday, Aug. 21, with brunch and dinner. Dinner will be served Sunday evening at the Recreation and Wellness Center (RAWC) as part of Fair Day, Housing and Residence Life鈥檚 official kickoff event.

If you are moving into the Lion鈥檚 Den on Aug. 18 as part of Cub Camp, we invite you to join us for a complimentary lunch courtesy of Nabholz. Courtesy meals will be provided for Cub Camp participants through Saturday, Aug. 20.

For those not participating in Cub Camp, Housing and Residential Life will provide pizza for dinner on Saturday, Aug. 19.
